PAT MCGAHAN'S WEEK 12 REPORT

CLONARD HIBS EDGE OUT ST MATTHEWS.

I would like to start this week’s report by apologising to big Davy McCusker who checked out with a

152 in his 18 & 19 darter last week for Hibs 58 which is th e highest checkout so far this season.


ST MATTHEWS 3 CLONARD HIBS 5

Conor Hanna got Clonard off with a man of t he match (18&20) sho wing against Billy McDade and

Kevin Campbell soon made it 2 - 0 beating Gerard McGuinness 2 - 0. Jimmy Lavery (25&21) beat Sean

Paul Grant 2 - 1to pull one back but John Doyle beat Joe O Kane 2 - 1 to make it 3 - 1 to the away team.

Con Kielty (27&25 )) beat Dan Dela ney 2 - 0 to make it 3 2 but it was soon 4 - 2 to Clonard thanks to

Pearce Maguire who beat an unlucky Jap McKinley 2 - 1 thanks to a cracking 15 darter in the third leg.

Adam Mc Dade (21 & 19) wrapped up the points for Clonard beating John Considine 2 - 1 and Mar tin

Irwin beat Conor Toner 2 - 1 to leave the score at 5 - 3.


HIBS 58 8 FORRESTERS O

58 kept up their100% record beating an unlucky Forrester’s 8 - 0 starting with Peter McDonnell snr

( 22&26) winning 2 - 0 against Sean McCurdy followed by a 2 - 1 win for Damien Corb ett (28&24) over

Cao imhin Burns. It was then 3 - 0 when Tucker Clarke (28&24) beat Martin Stafford and Mark Lynch

(21&21) winning 2 - 1 against Andy Gray to make it 4 - 0.Sean Patterson (20&21) beat K evin Robinson

2 - 0 to make it five and man of the match Martin Mooney(20&20) beat Paul Stafford to make it 6 - 0

Davy McCusker (22&29) beat an unlucky Oliver McMahon(24) 2 - 1 to make it 7 - 0 and Martin Corbett

(27&18which included the big 180) beat Michael Burns 2 - 0 to wrap things up.


STAR CELTIC 2 CASEYS 6

Casey’s had a g ood away win started off with a2 - 0 win for Matt Boyle over Eamon McGovern but the

match was soon level thanks to man of the match Gerard Burns (18&18) beating Liam McMenamin

2=0.Caseys took the next three thanks to Gerard Holmes 2 - 0 over Henry McTasney jn r then Kevin

Mallon(28&24) 2 - 0 over Hugh Grieve and Seamy Roberts (29&23) also 2 - 0 against Aaron McGovern

It was soon 4 - 2 when Gerard Smith beat Gerry McIlduff 2 - 0 but Casey’s claimed the points winning

the last two thanks to Steven Leckey (27&27) beating Stephen Curley 2 - 0 and Dan Cahoon(24&27)

beating Rab Lyttle by the same score.


CASEMENT 3 CRUMLIN STAR 5

The Star had a big win away to Casement but it was Paul Condon winning 2 - 0 over Fra Glennon who

made it 1 - 0 only for Seamy Martin(27&21) to beat Micha el Tierney 2 - 1 to level at 1 - 1 .Henry McCann

made it 2 - 1 to Casement with a 2 - 1 win over Robert Creen (21) only for man of the match Dougie

Bowes (26&21) to beat Vinty Lenzi 2 - 0 to make it 2 - 2 on the night. Tommy Henry put the Star 3 - 2 up

with a2 - 0 win ov er Ciaran McKay and Peter Fitzpatrick ( 28&21) made it 4 - 2 with a 2 - 1 win over Joe

Doone. Gerry McCormick ( 20) pulled one back for the home side beating Freddie Stilgees 2 - 0 only

for Paul Porter (25&24) to beat Kieran McGuinness 2 - 1 and win the match for th e Star.


O DONNELLS 5 DC 3

Man, of the match Ricky Saddler (19&26) beat Dee Ireland (21) to make it 1 - 0 and soon it was 2 - 0

thanks to Brendan McStravick beating Harry Smith 2 - 0. Gary Smith (25&29) beat Tucker Kearney 2 - 0

and pul led one back but Kevin O Neil l (21&29) beat Kevin O Carroll (20) 2 - 1 to make it 3 - 1. Back

came the DC with Patrick McGeown beating Eddie Robb 2 - 0 and Matt Doone (24&22) also winning

2 - 0 against Tom Kearney and its now 3 - 3. In the next game Paul Press (24&25 ) beat Paddy ​

McGuinness 2 - 0 and lastly James McStravick beat an unlucky Alan Hanna 2 - 1 to get both points for O
