Preliminary 1

DONEGAL CELTIC 2 ST MATTHEWS 5

Big Davy McCusker got St Matthews going with a 26 darter in this one leg 701 format which included the big 180 in his win over Kevin O Carroll but back came the DC with Joe Corr (32) beating Joe O Kane and they were 2-1 up when Sean Armstrong (35) beat Micky McCartan but St Matthews took over thanks to Dessie Magee (32) beating David Smith followed by Martin Irwin (32) beating Seamus Armstrong jnr and Jap McKinley (32) beating Seamus Armstrong snr and the game was wrapped up by man of the match Allan Brown (24&147 fin) against Felix McGeown to leave the result at 5-2 to St Matthews

PRELIMINARY 2

SUFFOLK CELTIC 2 CRUMLIN STAR 5

Tom Kearney put Suffolk 1up beating Peter Fitzpatrick but man of the match Ben Lagan (27&72f) levelled things up beating Junior McManus The Star went 4-1up with wins for Robert Creen over Harry Smith and Tommy Henry beat Kevin O Neill followed by Dougie Bowes beating Caolon Kearney Joe Flannery pulled one back with a win over Gary Healy only for Seamie Martin to step up and beat Tucker Kearney to win the match

FORRESTERS 5 STAR CELTIC 2

In the first quarter final Kevin Robinson(32&60f) got the Forresters of with a man of the match performance against Henry mcTasney snr but it was 1-1 when Gerard Smith (32) beat Paul Stafford Michael Burns made it 2-1 beating Rab Lyttle and Steve Murphy made it 3-1 with his win over Eamon McGovern This was followed by a win for Martin Stafford over Aaron McGovern to make it 4-1 but Gerard Burns pulled one back for the Star Celtic only for Sean Fitzpatrick to win the match for the Forresters with his win over Tony Kelly

CRUMLIN STAR 2 CASEMENT 5

Ben Lagan got the Star of to a great start with a super 24 darter & a 77 finish against Martin Lawlor but Ricky Saddler (36) made it 1-1 beating Peter McAlorum Up next Seamie Martin (37) made it 2-1 with a win over Eddie Robb but that was as good as it got for the Star as Casement reeled off the next four games thanks to Gerry McCormick(33) beating Paul Porter then Chopper McKay beat Robert Creen followed by a win for Vinty Lenzi against Tommy Henry and Kieran McGuinness sent Casement into the semi-finals beating Gary Healy

HIBS 58 3 ST MATTHEWS 5

This was a game of ebbs and flows with 58 going 2-0 up thanks to Mark Lynch (35) beating Joe O Kane and Tony Corr (30) beating Con Kielty but it was then 2-2 with wins for Allan Brown (33) against Peter McDonnell jnr and John Considine (30&74fin) against Sean Patterson 58 went in front when Martin Corbett beat his old mate Davy McCusker to make it 3-2 only for Billy McDade to level the game at 3-3 with a tight win over Peter McDonnell snr Jap McKinley then edged St Matthews ahead with a win over Joe Dineen and man of the match Dessie Magee (27) sent St Matthews through to the semi-finals

CLONARD HIBS 5 CASEYS 2

Clonard raced into a 3-0 lead thanks to Conor Hanna (27) beating Eugene Brannigan and Pearse Maguire beat Paul Smith. This was followed by a superb 23 darter from Adam McDade against Stephen Lecky Gerry McIlduff pulled one back for Caseys with a win over Sean Finnegan but Dan Delaney made it 4-1 with a win over Matt Boyle but Caseys weren't done yet and Dan Cahoon beat Sean Paul Grant but in the next game Kevin Campbell beat Gerrard Holmes in a tight match to send Clonard through

This week it will be the semifinals and final in the Crumlin Star club with a nine o clock start
