CLONARD HIBS WIN AWAY AT CASEYS

Clonard Hibs have a good win away to Caseys Hibs 58 and St Matthews battle out draw Casement win away at Suffolk Star Celtic and the Forresters also draw and Crumlin Star win away at Donegal Celtic

Paul Smyth (22&180) got the home side of with a 2-1 win over Kevin Campbell (27) It was 1-1 when Pearse Maguire (28&23) beat Stephen Leckey 2-0 Hibs went 2-1 up with a man of the match performance from John Doyle (24&111fin and 18&120 fin)in a 2-0 win over Kevin Mallon but it was level at 2-2 when Dan Cahoon (27) beat Tommy Fitzpatrick. The away side went ahead again when Conor Hanna (20&29) beat Seamy Roberts 2-0 Yet again it was level when Gerard Holmes (28&29) beat Anto Smith 2-0.Once again Hibs edged ahead when Adam McDade (23&20) beat Eugene Brannigan 2-0 and in the final game Sean Paul Grant (24&30) squeezed past Brian Kerr 2-1 to secure the

points for Clonard Hibs

Dessie Magee (18&117f&23) put St Matthews 1-0 up with a 2-1 win against Tony Corr and it was 2-0 when Joe O Kane (24&22) beat Martin Corbett 2-0.Back came 58 when Tucker Clarke (26) beat Billy McDade 2-0 only for Allan Brown(29&20) to put St Matthews 3-1 up with a 2-0 win over Damien Corbett Hibs pulled one back with a man of the match performance from Martin Mooney (17&21 inc 180) beating Con Kielty (180 also) 2-0 The match was level at 3-3 when Peter McDonnell snr (20&24) beat Micky McCartan (30) in a tight game St Matthews went ahead thanks to Martin Irwin (25) winning a tight 2-1 game against Mark Lynch. In the final game Sean Patterson (19) threw great to keep 58,s unbeaten league run going to upset the odds in beating Davy McCusker 2-1 with a superb 78 checkout to leave it all square at 4-4

SUFFOLK CELTIC 3 CASEMENT 5

Ricky Saddler(26&18) put Casement 1-0 up with a man of the match performance in a 2-1 win over Tucker Kearney (22) and it was 2-0 when Gerry McCormick (29&22) beat Patrick McGeown 2-0 It was soon 3-0 when Paul Condon beat Harry Smith 2-0 Back came Suffolk thanks a 2-0 win for Jim Lynch over Eddie Robb and it was 3-2 when Junior McManus (29) beat Henry McCann 2-0 .Vinty Lenzi made it 4-2 with a 2-0 win over Tom Kearney and it was 5-2 when Joe Doone (23) beat Caolan Kearney 2-0 .In the final game Kevin O Neill (28&31) beat Kieran McGuinness 2-1 to leave the final score at 5-3 to Casement

STAR CELTIC 4 THE FORRESTERS 4

The Forresters got off to a great start with Stevie Murphy (26) beating Tony Kelly (29) 2-1 and man of the match Kevin Robinson (21&25) beating Eamon McGovern 2-1 to put the away side 2-0 up.Back came Star Celtic thanks to Paddy McAleese (30&26) winning 2-1 against Oliver McMahon (180) and then Rab Lyttle (24) beating Sean McCurdy 2-0 to make it 2-2 The Forresters went 3-2 up when Michael Burns (21) beat Gerard Smith 2-0 and it was 4-2 when Sean Fitzpatrick (28&29) beat Brendan McStravick 2-0 The Star Celtic weren't done yet and the Father and son mcTasney double act gained a point for them with Junior beating Andy Gray 2-0 and Senior then beating Paul Stafford 2-1 to leave the final score at 4-4

DONEGAL CELTIC 3 CRUMLIN STAR 5

This was definitely a game of two halves with the DC racing into a 3-0 lead thanks to Joe Corr beating Freddie Stilgees 2-0 followed by a 2-0 win for Kevin O Carroll (23) over Dougie Bowes and then Sean Armstrong (25&17) beat Peter McAlorum 2-1 but back stormed the Star starting with a man of the match performance from Ben Lagan (22&20) beating Chinky Smith 2-0 followed by a 2-0 win for Peter Fitzpatrick over Seamus Armstrong snr which was then followed by a 2-1 win for Robert Creen (28&23) over Matt Doone to make 3-3 Crumlin Star then went 4-3 up thanks to Seamie Martin beating Paddy McGuinness (28) 2-1 and they won the match when Tommy Henry (28&25) beat Dee Ireland (29) 2-1

This week it's the Andy Kearney pairs in the Suffolk Celtic rooms with an 8.30 start
