HIBS 58 BEAT ST MATTHEWS IN SUPERB MATCH.
In other games The Forresters claim a great win at O Donnells Casement win at Star Celtic Clonard
Hibs beat Crumlin Star and Caseys and the DC share the spoils
ST MATTHEWS 3 HIBS 58 5.
Have to start by saying this was one of the best game of darts I have watched in a long time .First up
Joe O Kane and Martin Mooney .O Kane started with an 18 darter (100/95/99/and 106 finish only for
man of the match Mooney to reply with a 17 darter which included the big 180 and then a 21 darter
with a 130 finish .Next up Tony Corr (28&21)beat John Considine 2-0 and Sean Patterson made it 3-0
with a win over Jim Lavery Back came St Matthews when Con Kielty 95/100/85/100 and an 86 bull
finish hit an 18 darter only for Martin Corbett to hit a 17 darter 100/121/140 but Con took the next
in 23 to make it 3-1. Damien Corbett hit the 180 /100/ to win his first leg only for Joe McAttamney to
hit back (21&22) with five ton plus to make it 3-2. The next game was another cracker between
Martin Irwin and Tucker Clarke The first leg saw Martin hit 137/100/98 and 82 in 21 darts followed by
Tucker starting of with 85/140/180 in a 20 darter and Martin won it with an 18 darter to level at 3-3 ,
Mark Lynch (21&22) 121/99/83 in leg one and 99/83 and 140 in the second In the last game it was
Billy McDade against Peter McDonnell snr In the first leg McDade 85/95/85 /95 missed double 16 to
let Peter in to win in 21 but Billy then hit 140/100 in 20 darts to level only for Peter to hit a superb 18
darter and win the match for HIBS 58
O DONNELLS 3 FORRESTERS 5.
Forresters came away with the points in a good win away to O Ds Up first Caiohim Burns (27) beat
John Quinn only for Tucker Kearney to beat Michael Burns 2-0 and level the match .Once again the
away team went in front thanks to Sean McCurdy (19) beating Ricky Saddler 2-0.It was 3-1 when
Oliver McMahon(23) won 2-1 in a tight game with Paul Press Up next man of the match Eddie Robb
(28&24) won 2-0 over Paul Stafford to make it 3-2 and it was all square when Tom Kearney beat Ray
Lavery to level at 3-3.Andy Gray then beat Brendan McStravick 2-1 to put the Forresters 4-3 ahead
and Sean Fitzpatrick made sure of the points with a 2-0 win over James McStravick
STAR CELTIC 2 CASEMENT 6.
Joe Doone (26) beat Hugh Grieve (23) 2-1 to make it 1-0 and Gerry McCormick (27) beat Paddy
McAleese 2-0 to make the score 2-0 to Casement Star Celtic won the next leg when Tony Kelly
beat Kieran McGuinness 2 0, so it was 2-1 and it was 3-1 to Casement when Pat Burns beatStephen Curley and
it was 4-1 when Paul Condon beat Eamon McGovern 2-0 In the next game Ciaran McKay beat Henry
McTasney jnr 2-1 to seal the points and was followed by Henry McCann (26)winning 2-0 over Rab
Lyttle In the last game Gerard Smith pulled one back with a 2-0 win over Michael Tierney
CLONARD HIBS 5 CRUMLIN STAR 3.
Conor Hanna made it 1-0 with a 2-1 win over Paul Porter and Ben Lagan then beat John Doyle 2-0 to
level at 1-1 Robert Creen then beat Adam McDade 2-0 to put the Star 2-1 up only for Kevin Campbell
(29&24) to beat Jamesy Porter 2-0 and level at 2-2 The next game saw Dan Delaney(20&19) beat an
unlucky Dougie Bowes who hit the big 180 to take the man of the match and put Clonard 3-2 up and
it was 4-2 when Anto Smith beat Peter Fitzpatrick 2-0 Back came the Star thanks to Seamie Martin
beating Pearce Maguire(22) 2-1 and make it 4-3 but Sean Paul Grant (26&24) including the big 180 in
a 2-0 win over Freddie Stilgees sealed the points for Clonard Hibs
CASEYS 4 DONEGAL CELTIC 4.
Colm McGuinness(25&25) put the DC 1-0 up with a 2-1 win over Stephen Leckey only for Seamy
Roberts (17&27) to beat Paddy McGuinness (26) 2-1 and level things up The DC raced into a 4-1 lead
thanks to Dee Ireland (24) beating Eugene Brannigan 2-1 followed by Gary Smith winning 2-0 against
Kevin Mallon and Alan Hanna beating Gerry McIlduff 2-0 Caseys were not done yet as they hit back
with Peter Leckey beating Junior McManus 2-0 which included a 71 bull finish to make it 4-2 and
Orchan Kearney then beat Sean Armstrong 2-0 to make it 4-3 In the final game Jim Smith(20&21)
produced a man of the match performance to win 2-1 in a great game with Patrick McGeown(23) to
leave the match all square
This week it’s the Jody Reynolds individuals in the Hibs Club and it’s a 8.30 SHARP start

TOMMY HENRY CUP (TOP HALF CUP.
PRELIMINARY MATCH CLONARD HIBS 4 CRUMLIN STAR 5
John Doyle got Clonard of to a winning start beating James Porter but then the host club reeled of
the next three games thanks to Seamie Martin(36) beating John McCann then Robert Creen (28) won
a tight game over Dan Delaney and then Ben Lagan (28) produced a man of the match performance
to beat Conor Hanna .Up next Sean Paul Grant (31) beat Freddie Stilgees to make it 3-2 only for
Dougie Bowes to beat Anto Smith and put the Star 4-2 ahead .Back came Clonard through Pearce
Maguire beating Paul Porter and Adam McDade beating Peter Fitzpatrick. So it is down to the last
game and it is fitting that Tommy Henry beat Kevin Campbell to send the Star through to the semi
SEMI-FINAL-1 ST MATTHEWS 5 DONEGAL CELTIC 3.
Man of the match Harry Smith (26) 100,100 120&94 finish put the DC i-0 up beating John Considine
but it was 1-1 when Mickey McCartan beat Matt Doone .Alan Hanna made it 2-1 with a win over Jap
McKinley only for Martin Irwin to beat Kevin O Carroll to level at 2-2.St Matthews went 4-2 up with
wins for Jimmy Lavery over Felix McGeown and Joe O Kane(30) over Patrick McGeown.Back came the
DC with Sean Armsstrong beating Billy McDade .In the next game Con Kielty (30) produced a solid
game to send St Matthews into the final.
SEMI-FINAL-2 CRUMLIN STAR 2 HIBS 58 5.
Man of the match Tucker Clarke (30) hitting a 180 in his win over Dougie Bowes put 58 1-0 up and
Martin Mooney made it 2-0 with his win over Seamie Martin Back came the Star with Ben Lagan
beating Joe Dineen and Paul Porter beating Mark Lynch to make it 2-2 .That was as good as it got for
the Star as Paddy Dempsey beat Freddie Stilgees followed by Tony Corr (33) hitting 180 in his win
over Peter Fitzpatrick and finally Jap Craig beating James Porter to send 58 into the final.
THE FINAL HIBS 58 5 ST MATTHEWS 2.
58 went 1-0 up with Peter McDonnell snr(32) 171,133&95 beating Con Kielty and man of the match
Joe Dineen (26) 100,100,100,80.100 beat an unlucky John Considine to make it 2-0 and it was then 3-
0 when Paddy Dempsey beat Micky McCartan .Back came St Matthews with Joe McAttamney
(31)100,137,100 beating Damien Corbett and then Joe O Kane beat Conor Christie to make it 3-2 to
Hibs The next two games proved to be costly for St Matthews with both their next two players
outscoring their opponents but could not find the crucial double so Tucker Clarke beat Billy McDade
and Martin Mooney won the cup for 58 against a really unlucky Jap McKinley.
JOHN DEVINE CUP (BOTTOM HALF CUP.
PRELIMINARY MATCH O DONNELLS 5 CASEYS 2.
O Donnells got of to a great start with John Quinn beating Paul Smith and Brendan McStravick
beating Gerry McIlduff to make it 2-0 but back came Caseys with Kevin Malllon (83 finish) beating
Ricky Saddler and man of the match Seamy Roberts (28) beating James McStravick to level the match
at 2-2.That was as good as it got for Caseys as the O Donnells men reeled of the next three games
with Kevin O Neill winning against Orchan Kearney then Eddie Robb beat Eugene Brannigan and that
left Paul Press to beat Jim Smith and put the O Donnells into the semi-final
SEMI-FINAL1 O DONNELLS 2 STAR CELTIC 5.
Once again John Quinn put O Donnells 1-0 up beating Henry McTasney snr and Paul Press (33) made
it 2-0 with a win over Henry McTasney jnr .Back came the Star and in some style with Eamon
McGovern beating James McStravick who hit 180 and then Gerard SmIth beat Brendan McStravick
to level the game at 2-2 Rab Lyttle then put Star Celtic ahead with a win over Tom Kearney .The next
game was a tight affair with Hugh Grieve(33) 100,123 &140 beating Eddie Robb 140,140 and that was
followed by a man of the match performance from Paddy McAleese(31) 125,100,95,in a good win
over Tucker Kearney to send Star Celtic into the final.
SEMI-FINAL-2 CASEMENT 5 FORRESTERS 3.
The Forresters got of to a great start with Oliver McMahon (37) beating Henry McCann and Paul
Stafford beating Vinty Lenzi to go 2-0 up only for Kieran McGuinness (37) to pull one back against Ray
Lavery It was then 3-1 when Sean Fitzpatrick (31)95,95,130 beat Pat Burns. Casement then stepped
up a gear to reel of the next four games to send Casement into the final thanks to Paul Condon (33)
hitting 180 on the way to winning against Caoihim Burns followed by Mickey Tierney beating Sean
McCurdy and Joe Doone beating Andy Gray which was followed by a man of the match performance
from Gerry McCormick(28) 140,100 over Martin Stafford.
THE FINAL CASEMENT 5 STAR CELTIC 4.
This was a cracker and could have went either way and it was Henry McCann (39) who put Casement
1-0 up with a win over Stephen Curley only for Hugh Grieve to beat Joe Doone and make it 1-1
.Cassement went 2-1 up thanks to Gerry McCormick(31)100,100,100,99 beating Paddy McAleese and
it was 3-1 when Vinty Lenzi (37) beat Tony Kelly. Back came Celtic with Gerard Smith beating Pat
Burns to make it 3-2 only for Paul Condon (37) 100 140 140 to beat Rab Lyttle and make it 4-2 to
Casement .Star Celtic were not done yet and man of the match Eamon McGovern (31&50 finish) beat
Ciaran McKay and Henry McTasney jnr (37) stepped up to beat Michael Tierney .So it all came down
to the last game between Kieran McGuinness and Henry Mc Tasney snr and it was McGuinness (36)
who held his nerve to win the cup for Casement
A big congratulations to Hibs 58 and Casement and a big thank you to the Crumlin Star and Casement

St Matthews beat Crumlin Star to stay third and there are wins for Hibs 58, Clonard Hibs, Casement

In the battle for third and fourth place St Matthews came away with a narrow win to stay third. Joe
O Kane(24&22) got them of f to a 1 - 0 lead hitting 180 in a 2 - 1 win over Tommy Henry(22) .Seamy
Martin levelled at 1 - 1 beating John Considine 2 - 0.Up next man of the match Martin Irwin (21&21)
made it 2 - 1 with a 2 - 0 win over Paul Porter but back came the Star with Ben Lagan(29&30) beating
Jap McKinley(22) to make it 2 - 2.Con Kielty beat Peter Fitzpatrick 2 - 1 to put St Matts 3 - 2 up but it was

STAR CELTIC 1 CRUMLIN STAR 7.
Crumlin Star raced into a 4-0 lead as Robert Creen beat Henry McTasney jnr 2-0 which included a
great 17 darter and James Porter beat Stephen Curley 2-0 also . Next up was Peter Fitzpatrick who
beat Hugh Grieve 2-1 and then Tommy Henry beat Henry McTasney snr 2-1 to make it a 4-0
scoreline .Gerard Smith stopped the rot with a good 2-0 win over Paul Porter Seamy Martin(20)
made it 5-1 with a hard fought 2-1 win over Gerard Burns and man of the match Dougie Bowes
(26&22) made it 6-1 winning 2-0 against Rab Lyttle and Ben Lagan (20) wrapped things up with a 2-1
win over Tony Kelly(23)

Caoimhin Burns (28&28) got the away team of to a great start with a 2-0 win over Micky Tierney but
soon it was 1-1 with Henry McCann (25beating Sean McCurdy 2-1 in a tight game. Gerry McCormick
(22&26) came from 1-0 down to beat Michael Burns (26) 2-1 and put the home side 2-1 up. Back
came the Forresters thanks to a 2-0 win for Sean Fitzpatrick (26&29) over Joe Doone to make it 2-

1 to put the home side 2-0 up. DC were having none of it and went 3-2 in front thanks to Matt Doone
(26&26) beating John Considine 2-1 and then Sean Armstrong winning 2-1 against Jap McKinley
followed by Gary Smith (26) beating Joe O Kane (24) 2-1. St Matthews levelled at 3-3 thanks to a 2-0
win for Billy McDade over Harry Smith. The DC went in front again with a 2-0 win for Patrick
McGeown who hit the big 180 against Joe McAttamney to make it 4-3 and in the last game Con Kielty
(27&21) won a hard tussle to beat Kevin O Carroll 2-1 and level the match at 4-4
