HIBS 58 WIN THE FONACAB CENTRAL DART LEAGUE WITH 100 % RECORD

Clonard Hibs take second place St Matthews are third and Casement 4 th

CASEYS 3 HIBS 58 5.

This was a tough match with 58 squeezing a 5-3 win It was Peter McDonnell snr (24&15) who put 58

one up in a 2-1 win over Stephen Leckey (29) but it was 1-1 when Gerard Holmes(24) beat Jap Craig

2-0 Sean Patterson (24&27) beat Jim Smith 2-0 to edge the away team in front only for Kevin Mallon

to beat Damien Corbett (20) and level it at 2-2 Martin Corbett (20&24) beat Peter Lecky 2-0 and 58

were in front again but once more Caseys levelled thanks to Seamy Roberts(21&21) beating Tucker

Clarke 2-0 . So now its game on and Mark Lynch edged past Eugene Brannigan to make it 4-3 and

Davy McCusker produced a man of the match performance with a 16&21 darter after Matt Boyle had

taken the first leg Unlucky Caseys congratulations 58


CLONARD HIBS 4 CASEMENT 4.

Conor Hanna (28&16) put in a man of the match performance to beat Vinty Lenzi 2-0 but then

Casement raced away with the next four games thanks to a 2-0 win for Gerry McCormick (24&27)

over John McCann followed by a 2-0 win for Henry McCann (27&24) over Pearce Maguire and then

Ciaran McKay beat Anto Smith 2-0 and Joe Doone (23&29) beat John Doyle 2-0 also Clonard were not

finished and they stormed back thanks to a 2-0 win for Sean Paul Grant over Paul Condon followed

by a 2-0 win for Adam McDade(29&20) against Kieran McGuinness and Kevin Campbell(24&24) and

 also hit a 180, made sure of the draw with a 2-1 over Michael Tierney


ST MATTHEWS 5 O DONNELLS 3

St Matthews made sure of third place with a really hard fought win over a gutsy O Ds and it was man

of the match Martin Irwin (22&23) that won the first game in a tight 2-1 win over Martin Lawlor It

was 2-0 when Mick McCartan beat Tom Kearney 2-1 Back came O Ds with a 2-0 win for Paul

Press(28&26) over Billy McDade and that was followed by a 2-1 win for Eddie Robb over Joe O Kane

(21) to make it 2-2 Joe McAttamney (27&22) beat John Quinn (27) 2-1 to make it 3-2 but back came

the away team again thanks to Kevin O Neill (26&26) winning 2-1 against Jim Lavery to level at 3-3 In

the next game Jap McKinley (21&26) threw great to beat Tucker Kearney 2-0 and Con Kielty (26&27)

won a tight last game in beating Ricky Saddler(20) 2-1 and win the match for St Matthews


STAR CELTIC 1 FORRESTERS 7

This was a great away performance once again by the Forresters

Eamon McGovern put the home side 1-0 up with a 2-1 win over Sean McCurdy(26) but incredibly

that was as good as it got for the Star as the away side reeled of the next 7 games Andy Gray beat

Rab Lyttle 2-0 and then Paul Stafford beat Henry McTasney jnr 2-1 and that was followed by a man of

the match performance from Oliver McMahon jnr (25&22)in a 2-0 win over Gerard Smith to make it

3-1 and up next Kevin Robinson (22) beat Tony Kelly 2-0 hitting the big 180 along the way to make it

4-1 Martin Stafford won 2-0 against Aaron McGovern and Ray Lavery beat Stephen Curley by the

same score Finally Caoimhin Burns beat Henry McTasney snr 2-1 to leave the final score at 7-1


DC 1 CRUMLIN STAR 7

This was another storming performance by an away team on the night with the Crumlin Star racing

into a 5-0 lead The first game saw Seamy Martin(24) win 2-0 against Harry Smith followed by a 2-0

win for Peter Fitzpatrick over Joe Corr and that was followed by a 2-1 win for Rab Creen over Davy ​

Smith It was 4-0 when Paul Porter beat Matt Doone 2-0 and Ben Lagan(27&30) made sure of the

points with a hard fought 2-1 win over Patrick McGeown (23) Chinky Smith (29&27) and 180 along

the way got DC on the board with a 2-0 win over Peter McAlorum but the Star then took the last two

games Freddie Stilgees beating Colm McGuinness and man of the match Dougie Bowes (22&26) beat

Paddy McGuinness to leave it at 7-1 to the away side.
