Crumlin Star edge local derby

Crumlin Star beat Star Celtic 6-2; Hibs 58 thrash O Donnells 7 1 to continue their unbeaten run

Casement and Clonard Hibs both win 6-2 away to Forresters and Caseys respectively and DC and St

Matthews fight out a 4-4 draw

Ben Lagan and Seamy Martin got the Star of to a great start with 2-0 wins against Eamon McGovern

and Henry McTasney snr but back came Celtic to level with Henry Mc Tasney jnr and Gerard Burns

scoring 2-1 wins over Rab Creen and Tommy Henry.Dougie Bowes produced a man of the

performance (22&30) against Gerard Smith and with that the Star pulled away winning the next

three games 2-0 thanks to Fra Glennon ,Freddie Stilgees and Paul Thompson who hit the big 180

beating Steven Curry,Rab Lyttle and Paddy McAleese

Hibs 58 7 O Donnells 1

Ricky Saddler bt Peter McDonnell 2-1 to get O Donnells of to a great start but that was as good as it

got with Hibs rolling of the next seven games thanks to some great scores from man of the match

Martin Corbett firing two 18 darters including a 180 in a 2-0 win over John Quinn, Peter McDonnell

snr 2-1 (24&25) vs Tom Kearney who shot a neat 21 darter. Martin Mooney beat Brendan McStravick

2-1 which included a17 darter and the Hibs58 rolled of the next four games with 2-0 wins for Tony

Corr (24&19), Davy Mc Cusker (22&25), Damien Corbett (26&20) and Mark Lynch (26&25) beating

Paul Press, Martin Lawlor, Eddie Robb, and Kevin O Neill respectively

Foresters 2 Casement 6

Paul Condon got things going with a 2-0 win over John Toner but back came the Foresters with a

brace of 2-0 wins thanks to Sean McCurdy (19) and Sean Fitzpatrick beating Sean Kerr and Chopper

McKay. Casement went on to win the last five games 2-0 thanks to Henry McCann, James Doone,

Michael Tierney Joe Doone and Vinty Lenzi beating Michael Burns, Ray Lavery, Eamon Mulholland,

Gerard Callaghan and Oliver McMahon jnr

C ASEYS 2 Clonard Hibs 6

Clonard Hibs raced into a 4-0 lead with Anto Smith (2-0) AdamMcDade (2-0) including 17darts,

Seamus Grant 2-1 (24&22) and Soupy Campbell beating Gerry McIlduff Matt Boyle Brian Kerr (23)

and Peter Leckey. Eugene Brannigan beat Dan Delaney 2-1 to stop the rot. Conor Toner made it 5-1

with a 2-0 win over Steven Leckey (23&27) But liam McMenamin made it 5-2 with a 2-0 win over

John McGrath only for Pearce Maguire to win in a man of the match performance (20&26) against

Jim Smyth

Donegal Celtic 4 St Matthews 4

St Matthews got of to a great start with a brace of 2-0 wins from Billy McDade (29&23) and man of

the match Martin Irwin (28&20)beating Gary Smith and Junior McManus but back came the DC to

make it 2-2 thanks to Paddy McGuiness 2-0 win over Pat McGahan and Patrick McGeowns 2-1 win

over Con Kielty Joe McAttamney made it 3-2 with a hard fought 2-1 win over Matt Doone .The DC

were soon level thanks to young Colm McGuiness beating Joe O Kane2-0 (28&24) to make it 3-3 .Jap

McKinley edged past Alan Hanna to make it 4-3 St Matthews but Kevin O Carroll then squeezed past

John Considine 2-1 to level the game 4-4

It’s the 3 a side next week in the Donegal Celtic rooms 8.30 start. Pat McGahan
